A new beginning

A girls got to have what a girls got to have.

And... she's off-and so excited!

Jim, Kellie and I took Jamie over to the MTC on Wednesday Dec.1 2010. My boys were ready to go on their missions, but with Jamie it was, well, more like a race horse lined up at the gate, ready to spring forward as soon as the gate sprung.

The drive over was uneventful. Girls slept. Jim drove.  Thank goodness for sunflower seeds and Mountain Dew. We did some last minute shopping for Jamie and stayed at the Bellistons for the night. On Wedn. we had lunch at Costa Vida with Jessica (Ralphs) Dayton and Anita and Doug, then took off for the MTC.  It's different now as there is no going inside and singing and watching people cry and say heartfelt goodbyes. Now it is more of a 'kick-them-out-at-the-curb experience.  Literally. Which was fine by Ja. Kellie and I took turns crying uncontrollably on the way home, interspersed with sleeping.  Jim drove. Go figure.  Walking into the house and going into Jamie's room wasn't much fun either. Life goes on and we know Sister Jamie Pitchforth is going to rock at whatever she sets her mind to because she is willing to work hard and she trusts the Lord to do the rest.
