Another one flies the coop

I took Talon to the airport on Friday.  He is going to BYU Hawaii. A school I encouraged him to go to.  What was I thinking?! It's so dang far away!!!!  This next weekend we are going to Utah and Jamie is taking her endowments out and Jeremy will be coming down from Idaho, and Tyler and Jodi will be there and TALON IS IN HAWAII!! I know he will have a great time and love all the experiences, but, gee wilikers, I miss the kid already.

AS Jamie isn't going into the MTC until December1, she will be having her farewell on the Sunday following Thanksgiving. So many family members are coming out and will be here and it will be such fun.  Talon was gong to come home for Christmas, as we all thought Jamie would be on her mission by Sept or October as her availability date was September1, and we never thought about Talon flying home for her farewell during that time, but now, I want him to be here and be a part of the family gathering. So I'm contemplating and trying to persuade Jim to fly him home for both. Yikes!

Kellie still has days where she hates me, but it has gotten better.  She won't ever tell me she likes the school, but she does say positive things to other people.  She told me today that her anat and phys teacher gave the first test and it was like a lottery scratch test.  You read the question, read the multiple choices and then scratched off which choice you thought was correct.  You received  points according to how many quess vs first time correct answers you got.  She loved it bc you immediately knew what you got right and wrong and knew immediately what your grade was on the test. She got a 96%.  She likes her Seminary class and has met some fun kids.

Jim and I went to the Broomfield Legacy game last Saturday. We though fondly of our Broomfield days 18 years ago and of the kids we worked with and loved back then.  We sat on the Broomfield side and Kellie sat with friends on the Legacy side.  It was fun for us and she had a good time with her friends.  I hope next time she has friends to sit with on her school's side.

We've had college kids visit us for 3 weekends and it has been so much fun. A shout out to Katharine, Darcie, and Ryan, Spencer, Steve, Aly and Joey.  You guys can live at our house anytime.  We loved having you all here.

Heidi
